Robert Butler Tribute

With great sadness we found out yesterday that our good friend Robert Butler passed away yesterday morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Dorthea, and all the family. To know Robert, was to love Robert. I'm sure all who knew him have their own favorite story to tell. For us at Crown Printing, who worked so closely with Robert on many of his prints, a highlight was when he painted his "Peace River Reflections" for our Grand Opening and generously donated the prints to United Way. When he first showed us the painting, he told us how he painted it from an exact location he found on the Peace River. It was an instant hit. It's a lovely painting, almost transcendent in it's composition and color. We will miss him, his great smile and the energy he exuded. Lakeland has lost a generous friend to this community and a great talent that will not be forgotten. Rest In Peace Robert. You will be missed.
